In 2005 Luigi Bottini together with his wife Sara, opened the online store "Timesport24.it", in their garage, this is where it all began. In just a few years it developed exponentially with many obstacles to overcome, specializing in the sale of canoes and kayaks of well-known brands. In 2012, thanks to the experience acquired in the sector and the desire to create a unique product, the Big Mama Kayak brand was born, initially with imported products and then starting from 2017, by inserting a young designer Claudio Campioni into the workforce, thus he began to design and create the first entirely Italian models, with the rotational molding method (monocoque without heat-welding).The product is immediately LIKED, for the colors, for the shapes, for the reliability and stability in the water, conquering both simple enthusiasts and experts in the sector.Thus began the production of new models until 2019 when Big Mama designed the first Italian pedal kayak. In the spring of 2020 the Triken 405 takes definitive form, the first pedal kayak with an extremely stable and hydrodynamic trimaran bottom.When the old premises are no longer able to contain the production and the number of kayaks to be produced, the construction of the new factory of over 3400 square meters begins and by the spring of 2022 the transfer to the new headquarters begins. On this occasion, two other pedal fishing kayaks are launched on the market: Triken 330 and Triken Light. In September 2022 Big Mama Kayak receives the Best Kayak Fishing 2023 award with the Triken Light at the Paddle Sport Show in Lyon in France.
